January 2018
After having too much fun in Thailand, we flew over to Malaysia for a change of scenery--
a different religious scene, a different pace of life.

Hong Kee, Chinatown, Kuala Lumpur | This place deserves to be famous.

Kuala Lumpur

Batu Caves, Kuala Lumpur

Batu Caves, Kuala Lumpur | If you've ever seen photos of this place, there are 272 steps leading up to a temple inside a cave. Along those steps, there are monkeys. Everywhere. This one tourist started walking up with a bag of McDonald's, only to have a monkey steal it away (also, why you're eating McD's in Malaysia beats me). So, yeah. For future reference.

Kuala Lumpur Bird Park

National Mosque of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur... I think?

KL Observatory views. It was raining intermittently, and the clouds finally cleared a little bit so we could get a glimpse of the city.

Malacca! A cute port city about a 2 hour bus ride south of KL.
